Rate The Last Movie You Watched

Beginners - 8/10

Kind of a difficult subject, and a somewhat uneven pacing, but acting and writing were universally excellent.  It was great to see Melanie Laurent in another really well-done movie.  "She makes me feel kinda funny inside... like when we used to climb the rope in gym class"

The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945) - 8.5/10 Great movie, first black and white movie I've had the chance to watch with an open mind (many chances when I was younger, but I didn't even bother trying). Movie was very interesting, very similar to the style Twilight Zone episodes. Really enjoyed the quick paced dialog, as well as the cinematography. if you're in the mood for something old with a bit of thrill/suspense that you have to actually pay attention to, give it a try.

The Pianist - 8.5/10 Really enjoy this movie, Adrien Brody's performance was outstanding. I really enjoyed the music element that was in the movie, I felt it was what made the movie as enjoyable as it was. Can be somewhat depressing as a lot of WWII movies can be, but if you've got the time for this you must try it out.

X-Men First Class 8+/10

Wonderfull movie. I love most of the marvel movies, but this is a very good one with nice acting and storyline.

Better Luck Tomorrow - 7/10
Pretty intense movie.  Got my heart racing a few times watching these kids take a bunch of wrong turns.  Hit close to home since I'm a semi-jaded Asian American over-achiever (not to the degree of these kids though) in high school.

Forrest Gump - 9/10

I've seen this so many times and it's not quite as good as I remember, but I won't change it's score. Strangely, the first half is the worst and for me it gets better once he gets to go home.
My favorite scene is the one where Gary comes back to be his first mate...

I still haven't seen this.

Fast And The Furious - 9/10

Yeah this seems to be a huge crowd pleaser.  Everyone I know loves it, but the film just really isn't that good IMO.  Poorly paced and sappy, but touching and sometimes funny.  7/10 IMO.

Well Inception is a 7/10 as well so... :)

I'd rate Forrest Gump 8/10 though.

If you can the best way to improve both is watch them at the same time.  That would be a fantastic movie.

Confused.

It's over hyped, but still a very decent movie, I think. I enjoyed it, also the 2nd time.
