Rob Zombie's H2.0

Thought I would like it better than H 1.0, but no his first one was a little better in my eyes. Nothing to me will be better than Devils Rejects as far as I feel. Halloween 2 is fast, loud and graphic so for some will deliver the goods. I do feel there is a fair amount of atmosphere but more of that creepy stuff for some reason in the last Halloween.
If were looking to recreate classic 80s horror nothing comes close to the just out Friday The 13th. They pinpointed all the elements and brought them back true to form and purpose. If the Halloween remakes did this they would be 2X as good. They were going for this as an attempt but come on. You can not create atmosphere if there is none. The original Halloween had it in boat loads. Zombie chose to trash the theme music and every other atmosphere tool so what do you have other than a snuff ride. Oh well. 4 on a 1-10.

Halloween 1 gets an 8 1-10

Devils Rejects gets a 9 1-10

Babel (HD-DVD):8/10
The first half was a bit slow but it got better and better, and it was cool to see how everything got pieced together. A lot of people are right when they say it's similar to Crash.

I checked out Paranormal Activity too. I'll say 7/10. It scared me real good. And despite the bravado and chatty nature of the teens in the theater, I noticed the atmosphere stilled considerably from midpoint on.

BTW, I checked out the original ending online and much preferred it to the reworked version.

Nothing special at all IMO.
