Eastern Promises - X/10
Can't rate it right now. I wil definitely have to see it again to rate it, as it feels weird to rate a movie with a story this sad right after I saw it. It is a good film nonetheless.

(500) days of summer - 9.5/10
My movie of the summer (ha). Has potential to be a classic. Every bit as good as everyone has said. It's the Annie Hall of our generation. Few movies explore a relationship from the point of view of a sensitive male. That sounds so lame and melodramatic but any guy can relate to Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character.

Watchmen - 9/10
Probably the most faithful adaptation of the graphic novel one could hope for. The much reviled alternate ending didn't bother me, it actually worked rather well in my opinion. Jackie Earle Haley was exactly what I pictured in my head when I thought of Rorschach. Honestly, his portrayal warranted at least a best supporting actor nomination. The movie was burdened by its length (which was necessary) and by a target audience that by and large couldn't invest themselves in the story. It's an anti-hero superhero story. Having to think about that is usually is too much to ask your average American moviegoer. I hope it did poor enough not to warrant a sequel.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - 9.5/10
Absolutely wonderful acting and mood.

The Hurt Locker - 8.5/10
Cool characters, cool plot.

BTW I absolutely need to see 500 Days of Summer. I love Zooey Deschanel. Having Zooey Deschanel in The Assassination... earned it .5 extra points (not really)

Wow, that is tall praise indeed. I wonder which movie was Gen X's Annie Hall? We better have one darn it! Zooey is a cutie.

G.I. Joe - 6/10. I got what I paid for. An entertaining popcorn flick. I thought the movie itself was pretty entertaining throughout. Sure there were scenes where the dialogue makes you go wth?? and there were some corny parts, but all in all I felt it was pretty entertaining. And Siena Miller was drop dead goregous in the movie!

Infestation - 8/10.

This is much better movie than what we normally get from the SyFy channel.
