Anyone else love Nazi and holocaust films? I have attempted to catch up on maybe some lesser known's lately and am always on the hunt for more?

The last watched was the fantastic Conspiracy. It was a imagination the events that occurred at the notorious Wannsee Conference, where the "final solution" was set in motion. Branagh, as usual, is fantastic. It's a talky and mostly set around the table. So don't expect big chase scenes or bomb plots. The drama is centered around political will and the unspoken inevitable. 8/10

certainly youve seen life is beautiful.. now theres a 10/10 movie!

I can't say I love those kinds of films... but have you seen The Sorrow and the Pity? So real, but oh sooo depressing. You'll need a day at Disneyland to recover. It's a documentary about France under national socialist occupation. I heard about it in a Woody Allen movie and thought it was a joke, um... given the title.

Good call. That was good; think I need to revisit it.

It was Europa Europa last night. A few minor things took me out of the movie. To begin with the sound mixing was pretty bad. One would think the film was thirty years older. I didn't like the visual editing either. The cuts were too abrupt. That acting also, was merely passable. It was an interesting story, technical and performance issues aside. 5/10

I must be one of the few people who didn't like "Inception". I think though with this movie you either love it or hate it.
I just could not get into this movie at all and found it painfully dull. I don't watch movies just for entertainment, but I got no entertainment value out of this movie at all. Towards the end of the movie I kept feeling as if the movie was saying to me "Hey, Look at me! I'm the greatest movie ever!".

I tried to like it, but just couldn't. I just wanted it to end. I sure would not want to review this movie. It'd unfair to give it a low rating without seeing it again. It's just the first viewing was bad enough. I'm not saying it's a bad movie, just that I did not enjoy any of it. I hated "The New World" on the first viewing and now it's my favorite movie ever. Maybe i'll give it another chance when it's out of DVD.

Before this I viewed "A Prophet" from France. I liked it, but I think it's still a bit overrated. I'd give it a solid 8/10

"Fist of Legend" I'd also give a 8/10. It's the first time i've seen it since I got my first DVD player and watched it on VCD!

I saw INCEPTION: I give it a 12 out of 10. :)

Honestly, it's the best sci-fi movie that I've seen this millennium (i.e. the best sci-fi film to come out since the year 2000). The movie is not as hard to follow as the critics are saying...just PAY ATTENTION to the dialogue and it all makes sense. Don't bring your friend or grandma who has trouble keeping up with plot...but the rest of your friends will love it.

Inception - 10/10. Such a mind-blowing experience. Have not seen a thriller as good as this in a very long long time. Better than The Prestige, Memento and other thrillers Chris Nolan made in the past. Money very well-spent.

I couldn't agree more, the movie was excellent. Some of the dialogue in the beginning was clunky, and tried to explain it too much, but once you really got into the meat of the movie, it was spectacular. It is the only movie where I immediately wanted to see it again (at 1am, no less!) after watching so I could catch more of what went on. The only major detractor was that I had a full set of assholes behind me, one who made 'witty' comments constantly and quite loudly, and his idiot friends laughed obnoxiously, further spurring him on.
And one guy that laughed whenever he saw that car falling

But I digress. That movie was extremely intelligent. 10/10.

Just saw it. It was really a great movie. Not quite a perfect movie but very intriguing. I'll give it a 9.4/10. I honestly can't wait to see what else Nolan's got up his sleeve.
