Daybreakers (6.5/10) - Better than I thought it was going to be, but could have been a lot better.

How to Train Your Dragon (8.5/10) - Much better than I thought it was going to be. People referred me UP! and websites said it was fantastic and I was incredibly disappointed with it; this however won my respect as a light hearted comedy for all ages.

Kick Ass - 9/10.  Trailer looked blah, but movie blew me away.  The little girl is spectacularism personified =0, I would have tacked on another 1/2 if only she'd laid off on the expletives; somewhat disturbing.

Lyndsy Fonseca, wow.  I didn't even know she also played the daughter in HIMYM...

Hurt Locker, 6.5/10; non-fiction docu-drama that was only mildly involving

Elizabeth: The Golden Age, 8.5/10; almost as good as Elizabeth

MacGruber ! 5/10

This tent pole season has not begun strongly. The Grub was the first big summer joint I considered even average. C'mon Inception. Don't let us down. I usually try to make it to every big opening during the hot months, but have to say, Prince of Persia will be the first test of that. Early buzz has been mediocre.

Legion 6/10

Great buildup and suspense in the beginning, but storyline and ending turned out to be pretty lame.

It felt like a cross between tremors and constantine?

"Invictus" [7.8/10]: Though Morgan Freeman's performance was extraordinary, I thought that the film was plodding and slow. Maybe my expectations were too high. I expected to be inspired and tearful, and I was bored. Good story but not up to usual Clint Eastwood standards as far as I'm concerned...

The Human Centipede : 0/10. It´s a bi joke but the biggest joke is that 2 sequels already been announced?

Staten Island:
One of the few movies I know that sucks in the beginning, gets better in the middle, then sucks again in the end. I accredit that to Vincent D'Onofrio's character, a mob boss about as endearing and interesting as a sponge and who wouldn't have lasted ten minutes in the underworld outside of fiction. Also like a sponge, he just seemed to suck up everything entertaining about the movie while on screen. The movie is structured like Pulp Fiction episodically, but is as unexciting as Pulp Fiction is not. Middle episode is great, last episode is good until "Mr. Tarzo" starts showing up prominently again, first episode is slow and boring. Overall mediocre. I seem to be on an Ethan Hawke binge? Whatever, I just watch what random movie my dad decides to rent. Maybe he has a crush.

6/10

Oh god, the first line of imdb's plot summary says it all. "Two pretty but ditsy American girls are on a road trip through Europe."

I heard that movie was extremely difficult to watch. Would someone hardened to torture porn, scoff at that? Just curious. I'll never watch it since it has been panned so hard. Life's too short. I can post on message boards instead :D.
