Out of the stuff that I've heard but don't have, and which impressed me a good deal:

1) Sennheiser HE90
2) Qualia 010
3) Sony R10

Then would come the stuff that I have or had at one point or another, and, well, I really can't rank any of it, since it all has it's ups and it's downs. There was plenty that I've heard and don't have, but only the top 3 left a lasting impression.

Listed from best to worst. I've also used blank lines to create groupings; A headphones within a particular grouping is difficult for me to choose over another in the same grouping. Usually the headphones in a grouping excel at different areas, but overall I feel they yield the same enjoyment; hence the grouping. I've tried to rank headphones with a grouping the best I could. My memory on some of these is a bit hazy - once we get down past the HD555 I stop caring much

A plain "rank" is very difficult. My list would vary considerably depending on music. Here's a general list for what it's worth...

W11jpn

L3000
K1000
CD3000
DT990
Omega 2

HD580 Jubilee (the psychological effect of "limited edition" made it sound better

)
K701, HD600, 590, 580, HP2
HD650, all in production grados ('cept 325i and rs1 below).
RS1
ksc75

W2002 (high freq peak)
SA3000 (weird high freq peak)
PortaPro

K340
koss The Plug

This is how i would rank the headphones out of all ive heard so far recently in terms of use/enjoyment:

L3000
W11JPN
HD-650
W1000/W100
RS-1
