So, I have bounced around a bunch of my pro-audio buddies on this one, and checked out the usually gearslutz, etc type forums, but I am of a different breed than most professional musicians (for whom DB level is usually the beginning and end when they're talking about cue mixes), so I figured I will ask you guys, seeing as I know a bunch of you do professional audio as well.
I need a rack mountable (preferably half-rack, but full rack will do as well) multi-channel (4 ideally, but obviously 6 is fine too), assignable headphone amplifier that can power at least 300 ohm phones to a reasonable level that doesn't sound atrocious...for under 300 (and yes, I'm definitely looking used). Anyone have any suggestions?
