Quloos QU02 USB Bridge

recently switched to I2S hooked up to my Hibiki SDS--all good so far apart from the occasional popping/crackling noise which i'm still trying to get to the bottom of. I'm doubtful it's my HDMI cable and I suspect it's something to do with either the power supply I use on the QU02, or simply the internal clock inside the Hibiki SDS which occasionally does 'cut out' for a second or two when using coax (this doesn't occur on I2S, but there's also no popping/crackling on coax). i'm tempted to get the fiio pl50 to act as a linear power supply for the QU02, but I'm also doubtful that would make any change in the audio quality itself--moreso, just trying to troubleshoot on what's causing the popping. n.b. this only seems to happen on my Hibiki, not my Hugo TT.

also, while the SDS says it can support 768khz via I2S, anything above 384khz via my QU02 seems to generate an awful distorted noise. there are pins at the bottom of the QU02 in regards to the I2S output as theres no universal 'interpretation', it's possible that I might not have the correct combination, but after messing around with it I couldn't find the 'right' combination and just resorted to leaving it on 384khz and all the pins switched to 'on'.

maybe that's why! 😅

It's strange that there are so few reviews and owners. The device is really high in sound.Probably the most pleasant purchase from the Chinese, which I cannot say about, for example, converters from gustard. They didn't impress me at all, but they're growing by leaps and bounds.Apparently the sponsors did their best)

The specifications of the coaxial connection are 24\192 maximum and have never been more)
If you look at the manufacturers website it shows coaxial connection 384kHz
I wouldn't have asked the question otherwise.
I even show a snapshot taken from their website with coaxial listed at 384kHz if you look at my previous messages.
I wouldn't trust anything about this product. The AES output says 384kHz.
And if you are referring to coaxial in general not being more than 24/192 take a look at audio-gd as there is DI-24HE DDC output at 384kHz on coaxial as I have one and can confirm this.

If you visit the amanero website, you will see that their spdif interface supports 24\192 maximum.I don't think the Chinese amanero is any different, as it runs on the same drivers and chips. Most likely, this is just a typo on the quloos website.I don't listen to hi-res and dsd myself, so it doesn't matter to me)

STOP the press! I’m the one who tried to output 384, but it was stupid to even try. My dac only accepts 192 by spdif and AES! So… who knows what the Quloos can do.
