Quick Review of ATH-AD700's

Yes, people will be able to hear them at medium levels within 10-15 feet. And you will be able to hear them/the TV/whatever else is going on around you. If you live in a noisy environment I'd stick with closed cans.

Thank you, yeah I want to listen in bed a lot stuff like that. So I think I need to get closed style. Thanks again! Maybe I will buy both If I end up liking the closed cans a lot. Both are under 100$ right now.

They are a great deal, even at $106 or so when I bought them. I do not regret the purchase. If you do get both, make sure to do a review here!

I agree.

I'd put the image like this, where the O is the head, the > indicates soundstage.

AD700
<<O>>

K701
<<<--O-->>>

The K701's do have a bigger soundstage but the AD700's are capable of being more up close and intimate (as indicated by the dashes on the K701).

Soooooo, I just ordered these from the Electronics Expo. What exactly were your problems? I'm just hoping that I don't have any…

Most people (myself included) were getting the A700 instead. However, seems like they've corrected it now.
