I tried searching for this information but couldn't find it. The K701 has earcups that are asymmetrical with a thinner side and thicker side. I removed them once but forget what the correct orientation is.

I had them with the thick side on top but that doesn't seem right. I changed it so the thick side is in front, which causes the drivers to be angled toward my ears.

For those of you who have a pair which side has the thicker part?

Edit: I just realized that I had it the opposite way and that it was angled away from my ears and not toward as I thought before. No wonder they didn't feel or sound right!

yep, fat to the back

it does change the sound quite a bit
