Questyle Audio unveiled two new DAP's at CES 2015 and they were the hit of the show!!
 
The QP1, $599 and the QP1R, $899 both incorporate Questyle Audio's patented Current Mode amplification technology and In addition to the 8GB in the QP1 and 32GB in the QP1R (formerly QP1 Pro), both models have 2 micro USB slots, each of which will accept up to 128GB Micro USB cards! 
 
We anticipate having final production samples in time for you to see, hear and play with at CanJam SoCal 2015 in March and expect to start filling orders by the middle of April.

With both the QP1 & QP1R, the Output Impedance is less than 0.5 ohms! That means a Damping Factor of greater than 600!!

Due to our patented Current Mode amplification technology, and a Full Class A circuit design, implemented utilizing all discrete circuitry (that’s transistors, capacitors and resistors as opposed to an off the shelf IC chip), we are able to achieve some pretty mind blowing results!! In initial testing, It has shown very strong control capability, especially with the hard to drive headphones. It will drive virtually any headphone or IEM on the planet, from 16--600ohm, with no problem whatsoever!! :atsmile:

So aside from QP1R having more storage capacity, it will feature higher grade premium components as well and will have markedly better sonic performance. It is the QP1 Reference.
 
The operating system is based on Linux and this user interface is exclusive to the Questyle DAP's.

For CanJam 2015, in the Questyle booth we will have fully functioning pre-production prototypes of both the QP1 & QP1R for you to see and hear, as well as a new little surprise!! We will also be accepting preorders at the show and expect to be shipping preorders towards the end of April, with all others to follow beginning in June.

Just to let you all know, for CanJam, we will have both a booth and a room!

This is an exciting DAP product.  As an owner of a CMA800, I fully endorse Questyle's current mode amp circuit implementation.  I'm also encouraged by its use of a multibit DAC chip, albeit delta-sigma.  Necessary I suppose for DSD native processing.
 
Good reviews from the SoCal CanJam, too.
