I planning to buy a sub for my A2 and the S8 seems like a logical choice since it's from the same company, but it's sumwhat too expensive. 
 
I'm currrently looking into these 2 sub:
 
1) the S8. I heard that if i connect it to my A2, the crossover will not work with RCA

The S8's crossover is a variable low-pass filter, and will not adjust the audio for the RCA output connection.  This is a full range line level output.

 
 
 
 
-does this apply to 3.5 mm jack
-and doesn't this mean that the overall bass with this 2.1 setup will sound bad? 
 
 
 
 
 
 

2) PBX (PowerBass) PBX-8.1

 
-Is this a good sub for the price?
-I assume it works with the A2 and i just connect it the same way i would connect the S8?
-Also, does this sub have the same "problem" with RCA and crossover?
