I'll start out by saying I'm really excited for the Alpha Dogs, I feel like Dan developed them with me in mind from what I've heard about their sound. I have a few questions though:
Currently on the website there are two versions available for preorder, the 4-Pin balanced XLR and the regular 1/4" single ended cable. I don't have an amp with a 4-pin connection, so would getting the 4-pin version benefit me at all if I used a 1/4" adapter to run them through my Magni/Modi, or would it not make any difference in the sound if I use the adapter? (Hopefully that makes sense)
Also, I plan on upgrading from my current Mad Dogs with dog pads to the Alpha Dogs. Does anyone know how he does the upgrading? Would he sell the pair you sent in as refurbished and give you a new pair, or does he take the drivers out of the headphones you sent in for upgrading and put them in the Alpha Dog cups, then tune them, etc.?
I know they aren't even out yet but if anyone can answer it would be appreciated!
