I want to know why all the good deal headphones have been discontinued.

Sennheiser HD 580
AKG K501
AKG K1000

Now everyone has to purchase used ones for a price higher than the prices when they were still produced.

No offense, but if you can't think up better topics to start threads with, please do yourself (and us) a favor and stop.

Think long and hard about it, I think you'll figure it out.

Here's an example, HD580 is worse than the newer ones.

If many of these headphones were still in production the demand wouldn't be nearly as high for them, the reason everyone wants them now is rarity.

Apparently machines used to make them were worn out after 15 years and ~11.000 produced units.
They did not sell strong in the end either.
