Im looking to replace a switching power supply with a linear power supply., The power supply Im replacing is a 12v 4.16A one. I found two linear power supplies which Im pretty sure will both work but I want to know which one would be a better replacement, one is 4A constant 6 amp surge and the other is a 5 amp constant with a 7 amp surge

4 amp one
SAMLEX LINEAR HQ 13.8 VOLT 4 AMP DC POWER SUPPLY - eBay (item 360216404041 end time May-08-10 18:26:18 PDT)

5 amp one
PYLE PSL92X 5 Amp Linear Power Supply AC/DC With Cigare - eBay (item 390180090684 end time May-07-10 08:54:16 PDT)

thanks in advance

the more than likely have a knob inside so you can get them to output 12.00VDC, but a wall wart usually outputs +15/25% than its rating anyway.
