In the product description from hifimediy store, it says that
the DAC has MAX97220A headphone driver. Does this mean
that there will be double amping if I use a separate headphone
amp? I wonder if I could get direct signal from the DAC chip,
not amped by the integrated headphone driver chip.

I believe it comes with a line-out that bypasses its internal amp, like many other DAC/AMP combos.

It only has one output, and it is the headphone-out. So no, I don't think you can bypass the headphone driver.
