Flac does not support 24/96, 24/192, no problem with WAV hires files

QLS  boosts it's  Single Threaded Software Framework , it has it's advantage but also with limitations. I think at the moment there is no hope for a quick fix of firmware. QLS is very good at past product support, you can ask them if they have plan to improve  360 on FLAC support.

Tested my QA360 battery life. Started playing a 32GB SD card with mix of FLAC, WAV, APE files, mx365 pluged in , volume 60.
Started playing 6am
Battery drained at around 4:30
Battery life=10.5 hrs

Just talked to Clark(founder designer QLS) in ERJI.NET he told me because of CPU limitation Hi Res FLAC is not supported.

I haven't got chance to compare to AK, just speculate from what I heard--QA360 should easily win over AK when driving big headphones

It is interesting to see that dsd is no issue for this device but hi-res flac id, does that mean DSD is in general less CPU intensive that high res pcm?

by my guess, DSD is process by DAC, Hi Res FLAC will need some CPU power to de-compress

Yes, he mentioned high res flac support can't happen, unfortunately. Good news is that, we can put 256 gb sd card in it. I am still a bit interested. I checked my library, most of them are CD quality flac but I have quite a good amount of high res flac too. I can try to convert them or something, we will see. I will keep my interest in this dap and wait to see more reviews. Some of the people I value here is going to get one, I want to read their impressions and comparisons.

For me compatibility with HUGO is a must. However I dont mind having a good source for wagnus amp either.

I know it can but till I can see it paired with HUGO I will not believe it.
