Does anyone have any experience with PS Audio's Ultimate Outlet or Power Plants? Is their intention to have you buy an Ultimate Outlet and then plug the Power Plant into that? And are you supposed to also upgrade your original outlet to a Power port or something? It just all seems very expensive, but from what I read on their site, each component serves a different purpose.
Why I like PS Audio...
Due to Jude's purchase of the Power port, I decided to visit PS Audio's website. It is a wonderful place. It's very informative and has lots of cool articles about how they make their cables (a lot of insight into why the damned things are soo $@#$3 expensive), the construction of their listening room, and lots of info on power conditioners and fun stuff like that. The history of the company is also really interesting. I don't know if any of you would feel this way, but reading about the company's history from the beginning made me feel much more interested in their products, they're not just some gimicky marketing group, the way everything is written is also on the perfect level, not too technical, yet still incredibly informative.
Anyway, I e-mailed them telling them I liked their website and that one day, unfortunately probalby way in the future (most of their products cost $$$$) I would order from them over another company because of their history and stuff like that, and I actually got a real response back. Not some automated "thanks for your input" but a nice letter from someone in their customer service department telling me about when he was a poor college kid and all that, I was very impressed. I hope to one day order something from PS Audio.
