The talent of these guys is truly incredible. I've been waiting for a followup to their double disk 'Vox Humana' for a long time and was recently rewarded with 'Celexa Dreams' which dropped a couple months back - both are absolutely worthy and deserve a place in your prog collection. I believe Jens Bogren mastered 'Vox Humana' if that's any indication of the audio fidelity (shout out to the unabashed audiophiles).

Since then, somehow I stumbled upon this in my youtube feed and it's simply jaw dropping. The goofiness is a bit over the top, and you can tell these were tracked (not truly live) and probably have a generous dose of post processing going on. Regardless, I encourage you guys to watch all of these episodes if you can. Here's the link to the first which kicks off with one of my favorite songs ever...'Cloudburst' from 'Vox Humana'!

Artist: Kyros
YouTube release: The Isolation Gigs

The Oceans follow up to 2018s Phanerozoic was released today. A mix of post and prog metal with the right balance of melody, atmosphere and aggressiveness, with some brutal riffs and vocals intermingled with horns and strings.

Guest appearance from Jonas Renkse on standout track Jurassic | Cretaceous really adds to an already hard hitting track. Really good production throughout and if you haven't checked out any of their back catalog, this is a great place to start. Certainly up there on my end of year list.

Talk Of The Town from Transitus, soon to be released album from Ayreon.

I enjoyed the full 1 hour 20 minutes of it. While I feel the flow of the album/story isn't as seamless as some of his other works and the ending feels a bit abrupt to me, there are numerous fantastic moments and highlights scattered throughout the album with great use of motifs and reprisals. Incredible vocal performances on Seven Days, Seven Nights and Henry's Plot. This is a real fun listen for me.
