Any idea if I can buy somewhere this socket/plug? any links? and how should I solder it? any assistance will be gratful, Logitech said it is out of warranty and cannot be covered:frowning2:

Hey, they are the manufacturer and they are the best folks to repair the product, under warranty or not.  They may charge you more than the cost of a new unit to repair it.  I would contact customer service at Logitech and lay it on thick.  They should stand behind the integrity of the product, under warranty or not. Also, it may be time to consult the "small print" in the warranty as this may be covered under "certain rights".  Do not roll over an play dead, assert yourself!
