Hi, I have an old PPA amp that was built by Mister X (from 10 years ago).  I've recently acquired a pair of HD650 and HE400 and when I play them through the PPA, I can hear some distortion.  I only have the volume knob at 9:00, so volume is not really a big deal.  The distortion generally appears on music with powerful vocals (creates a grainy resonant type sound).  I think there are probably some parts that need to be replaced.  Given that the PPA was a somewhat flexible design, I figure if parts are replaced, it may be appropriate to upgrade my amp to a more maxed out version.
Does anyone know someone who would be willing to do this type of work?  I don't know if Mister X still posts around here, but if someone has an email address, that would be appreciated.
