Hey everyone,

I am currently running a pretty tuned dual 2.0 G5 tower.. With the side panel off, I'm averaging 114.8* and 117.2* Fahrenheit on the two processors, respectively. (Room is about 77-78*).

I'm interested in adding a G5 Jive: Sonnet - G5 Jive: Internal Drive Mounting System for Power Mac G5

to get internal access to 2-3 more SATA drivers (RAID). However, the unit goes in front of the main CPU induction fans....

I know the "review" notes a 8-10* rise in CPU temp, but I'd like some firsthand, current opinions.

The drives will be 7200.12 Seagates..

Thanks

Yeah? Cool. (pun!)

I'm using "Temperature Monitor" to keep tabs on my CPU cores and whatnot.. I know it says the upper limit is 140* (non liquid-cooled). So if they're running at a 130+* range will I be ok? I'm just thinking that in the winter (like, one month here) my room will probably be warmer..

Thanks

NK
