And you determine this how?

Well, subjectively, obviously. Perhaps it would have been better and more accurate to say no artistic value to me. But to claim you have some objective way to say what is good art is just as flawed as saying you have an objective way of saying what isn't.

And that's all I'm going to say on the subject; I tried several continuations to the post and I didn't feel that any of them were helpful or seemed to express my feelings properly.

Have you ever actually been to an exhibit and seen actual Ansel Adams prints?    And if so please tell me where?

No.
What do you think I'm missing out on by not seeing his full size photos?  I am interested to know what I'm missing out on from, say, looking at his photos in books.
And in the interest of full disclosure, do you consider yourself an authority on Ansel Adams?

What do I think you are missing out on?   Nothing,  absolutely nothing at all.  Not a single thing.  You are not missing out on anything.  There's nothing to miss out on.

His prints were made from his negatives by or supervised by him.  Books are very far from that.  Some are better than others, but none come close to an original print.

I have seen many a very well engraved book of Ansel Adams works and they are not even in the same universe as his prints.   They are like shadows of the real thing.

It is said that his true art was in the darkroom, but I have never seen an actual print in person. I might like to some time.

And lostid: Very impressive. Where were those taken, if I might ask?

So then why did you make a big deal about it?
