@stuge I like #2!

My second shot of the two above "Frost, Grass And Winter Sun" has a frontpage highlight on Free Photoblog Hosting - Aminus3 Photoblog Community

I really hate seeing pictures of people smoking.
In my mind, that's bad form.

If you've been overseas alot more people smoke over there, sure it matters by country but i'm sure it's not as taboo

I don't smoke, but I don't mind if people smoke - that's their business, not mine. In Italy people aren't like in the USA and like to have a smoke on the street. In all restaurants and bars it's banned anyways, just like in the UK.

Anyways, for these photos I think it adds to the atmosphere. Especially the man with the hat, scarf, and coat - he looks so... 1960ies Italian. That's why I also graded the colors that "old" way, like pre-Technicolor film, or Autochrome.

That last shot with the lady using that film camera (and smoking, that takes some talent) is pretty cool! Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a Pentax Spotmatic?

Thank you, that's my girlfriend, with a 1976-ish Canon AE-1 sporting a 28mm f1.8.

That's probably not so much a "random people" shot then...

Personally I still use a Pentax ME from time to time, which looks a bit similar as the Spotmatic as well.
