Wow, that camera/lens is horrible in terms of chromatic adoration.
You seem to enjoy photography, so I'm surprised you're still using that camera.

It's a cheapo.

Great flower shots Towert. Looks like you've become very handy with the 60mm. More please!

This lens is phenomenal! It is sharp as a tack, has pretty much no CA, has wonderful color reproduction, and is built like a tank. I'm so happy I picked this up.

Thanks for the nice comment.

I bet that bridge picture would have looked nice in color!

It was a pretty generic shot either way, so I figure I'd stick with the theme and keep it in black and white.

It's chromatic aberration, Towert7. Chromatic adoration is what you do at the farmer's market

Some great photos getting put up on here that i almost forget about the music! lol

Here's a few HDR's i tried with some of my photos that never made the grade, overdone the sharpening on the first one (by mistake, no undo), and contrast on the second one is a bit much, too..

NOT true HDR's either, they were from one exposure.

noise to signal: Split-toning in Photoshop

(Assuming your referring to my photos): I'm hoping to get Photoshop CS3 in the near future, but for now I'm just using GIMP and the oft-criticized Photoshop Elements. I certainly enjoy the split-toning effect (it's quite intimate and film like) but I doubt the programs I have now can emulate the feature; of course, someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

Split toning is easier in Lightroom, check that out. Adobe have 30 day trials of both PSCS3 and LR, so it's worth downloading them and see which one you prefer for photo editing. Also check if Elements has a similar split toning function, I used to use elements 2.0 and I found it quite capable (though that was for creating graphics).

dbfreak: Was that taken in Hong Kong? I see the HSBC building in the background but I'm not too sure.
