Post the last thing you bought. Oh fun!

I briefly considered getting one of those but I think I'd end up not liking the skeletonized design. Still, beautiful looking mouse.
I was hesitant about it too, and really want it for the design and overall beauty. Over the past few days, the more I use it the more I enjoy it. The magnesium alloy feels very premium and the the holes create some nice airflow, which means less sweaty hand and no uncomfortable warmth. Still doesn't feel as good as smooth (no holes) mouse, but I've gotten used to it.

So basically after years and years, I decided to come back into the hobby, and decided to start today with a simple yet fun rig dedicated for work (I was looking specifically for earbuds for work, not iems nor headphones for a few reasons). Can’t wait :)

Not "bought", exactly, but had to send my subwoofer amplifier in to get repaired. Kinda spendy, but cheaper than a new sub, and it's working perfectly again. Movies just aren't the same without a sub.

I decided I need a 7.1 surround setup, so I bought some side speakers.

I didn't initially plan on going piano black, but every other finish was out of stock for this model. There's a "newer" model that costs $500 more, but that's entirely not worth it for me.

And boy, am I glad I got these in piano black! They are gorgeous in person. I'm sure they'll get dusty and smudged up, but I'm gonna enjoy looking at them until then. I think whenever I upgrade my front speakers to floor standing ones, I'm going piano black.

I needed a wee desk tidy/drawer thingy to keep my daily MS meds in place rather than sit them on my desk shelf and have them rolling onto the floor, £43 from Amazon and it’ll certainly not win any design awards for it’s construction nor design but it’s functional and does exactly what I need whilst not being intrusive.

It comes with a nifty wee clamp that pops into a slot underneath the upright that my Hiby is leaning against and holds the cable securely, I’ll clamp my iPhone cable in there as my iPhone XS needs charging every day. I may modify the watch holder to take my Apple Watch charger as well.

Mago 9" Black Marble Italian Stiletto OTF Switchblade

Gangster_Goods.jpg

On sale yesterday for $39.99 / SOLD OUT today.

Now for the 11' model to match the silver trim pair I have.

EDIT: I was not aware that switchblades are now legal to carry and have been legal to carry in Missouri since 2012.

Because I have not been carrying mine, that will change and this will be one of them I do.

I’ve had an itch for the Symphonium Meteor since I watched Resolve’s review on the Headphone show, so I finally scratched that itch and I’m not disappointed

One final SSD for my computer, as I literally don't have the PCI-E lanes for more.

It's sort of an odd purchase for me, because I don't need the space, and I'm not using it as "intended". That is, I'm not using it as a cache; I'm using it for my photography. Even off my Gen 4 M.2 drives loading up images can be extremely slow, particularly if I have folders with hundreds, or even thousands of images. The random read/write speeds of an Optane is perfect for tons of relatively small images, and make browsing them much snappier compared to traditional NVMe drives.

These have always been a curiosity to me, in large part because their price-per-GB is terrible (you can get a Gen 5 2TB Samsung for the same price), but I had always heard great things about their latency and how it affects the overall feel of your computer more than raw bandwidth does. I'm certainly inclined to believe the hype now, just with my limited time and limited use. The crazy-high write endurance is just icing on the cake. Oddly, I have an old Intel SSD that I built into my old i5 4690k system that was still in use until like a year ago, and last time I checked its remaining write endurance was still 99%.
