Seeing this, I wish they'd do a direct port of PSO(gamecube/dreamcast version) to the PSP or DS. I probably spent upwards of 600 hours on PSO for the cube(over a 4 year period...which was basically middle school and the beginning of high school).

Sounds good. I played the Japanese demo a couple of months ago and came away impressed. Looking forward to it.

After my 3 year old Apple iMac bit the dust I had to go buy a new computer. This time around I decided that I wanted a larger monitor and system that was good for occasional gaming. So I went with a Shuttle XPC (Intel Quad Core, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GTX260) paired with a Samsung LN40A550 40" LCD HDTV.

Yeah, it sure seems that way. When I was deciding on components a couple of weeks ago I was thinking of a 30" LCD monitor, such as the Dell Ultrasharp which goes to 2500 x 1600 native resolution. But that was $1,200 so I started to think about an HDTV. Even on a large screen, 1920 x 1080 seemed to be sufficient for everyday use. I snagged the 40" Samsung for $899 delivered to my door.

The only question was whether or not the 40" screen would be too large while sitting close. After using it for three days now I can safely say that a 40" screen was the right choice. Text is larger and easier to read. I have less eye strain after prolonged sessions (I'm an IT professional and work mostly out of my home office, so I spend 8 to 12 hours per day on my computer.

Oh yeah, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare really rocks on this setup!! Maybe I'll add a multi-channel speaker rig to it soon....
