This is an HDR photo I found on a wallpaper website. HDR means high dynamic range and is where you take multiple various exposures of the same scene and then overlay them on top of each other which results in a photo with far more detail and contrast levels than a single phot of the same scene. Sorry for large size but you need the full res to get the proper effect, and I was too lazy to resize it.

It's an *enhanced* photo, seriously.
Check out the below link for info on how it's done. I own a copy of the software in the link but haven't played around with it much yet. The more variable exposures you take the better the effect.
