Duggeh, you are much too cool for a bed. Just plop those silly looking (though awesome sounding!) Jecklins on your head and any couch will be suited for sleeping on, drifting away in the awesome tunes of Mike Oldfield. I really was blown away by the dynamic Jecklins when I heard them -- I want a pair!

"And finally, the Tubular Bells."

I'm really liking the dual speaker set up. The small horns are great for acoustic guitar and piano's, but do lack bass. Once I get a decent switchbox, I'll be able to locate them on my desk. Switching cables is a female dog.

Ah but even if I could choose to sleep in my armchair or on the sofa I'd still have to put the bed somewhere. And it's not mine.

Yeah the dynamic Jecklins are the only dynamic vintage headphones which have aged so well. They first came along in the early 70s, well before the K340 or the DT990.

Watch yourself on the speaker cable switching, be sure that you always turn the amp off first, no matter what kind of hurry you're in. Last thing you want is to blow the amp with a crossed wire!

I first looked that that's really the view out of your window but then I realized it's just your desktop.

Here's the latest evolution of my rig and phones. Fitz is refurbishing a pair of K240 Sextets for me, and cabling them balanced. And I have a pair of 600 ohm DT990's being cabled balanced at the moment as well.

Nice rig Steve, you've certainly come a long way in a short while.

YEP! I had to return my review loaner Apache, sniff. Hopefully the one I ordered will arrive in a month.

Nice amp Skylab! I can't wait to order the new RSA B-52 when I recover from other spending.

Beautiful setup Tbln! Looks like a nice place to hear music.

Hang in there Skylab! The Apache will land there again soon! I really like how compact it is for a two-box balanced amp. And those lighted tactile buttons are killer.
