A 12 volt supply is no problem. I've read people going to 18 volts. Note: 30 volts is the maximum plate voltage of these tubes. The L4949 can handle max. 28 volts. I have one too, still unboxed, getting its juice from a adjustable PSU currently @ 15 volts.
A 1000mA supply shouldn't even break a sweat.

No problem. I use mine with a pair of 32 ohm Sennheiser PX-100's.

Uhm...I don't think that is the same thing but I hope you're right.
I consider 32ohm a normal impedance

Driving low impedance headphones is more difficult than driving high(er) impedance loads for an amp. Output level can suffer though. I've read that you can use the K272 even with higher impedance loads.

Which version of the board? The newer version has two AA size batteries in a clip mounted on the PCB and needs a 9 volt battery. I have the old version that runs on a single 9 volt battery. The old version measures 44 x 104.5mm.

I should receive the newer version, with the clip on the pcb. Same dimension i think.

I had just ordered one of this amp. Anyone has the dimensions of the board for the newer version amp? Need to hunt for the case for it.
