I'm looking for a good pair of portable headphones for my girlfriend. I won't need suggestions for IEMs or earbuds as she absolutely hates both.

Try to keep it under $100 dollars used or new. Also the 'phones need to have very little exposed metal as joints and slides tend to pull our her hair.

Please help. Thanks!

may be sen HD 212 or PX 100 (but that does have a metal hinge, but it does sound amazing)

Well it seems a clear majority prefer the ES7. I thought about those too but thanks for the confirmation.

My wife loves the sound of her iGrados. They were originally for myself but the street style didn't mesh very well with my glasses (I hate contacts.) So to her they went and she absolutely loves them.

The Panasonic HTX7 is also a good choice if the ES7 are too pricey. If she wants something small and open would do, the PX100 is a classic choice. I prefer the cheap Koss portables by a hair (KSC-75, PortaPro, SportaPro, KSC-35), but they might not have the visual appeal of the Senns for a headphone noob, which I presume she is.
