Portable dac question

Both of these have the problem that they include an amp and with a Xin Reference I dont need that. The first one would also require a lot more diy knowledge than I posess (virtually none) and they are both rather big.

Now this one looks nice even though it still does not include batteries internally. Wonder how good it is. Might just give it a try as it is certainly cheap.

Xin has also hinted that once The Reference settles down and he catches up with backorders he might get back into the dac game but he told me to not hold my breath ...

LOL, if Xin tells you not to hold your breath, then it really means something lol. His 2-3 week estimated for amps become 3-4 months

Saying that, if he had made a dac, or optical dac/amp combo, I probabyl wouldnt have considered the imod.
