Portable CD player.

I don't know the specs of most discmans and I mostly keep what I like most. I like the silver colored discmans of the 2000s namely the d-ne series as compared with 80/90 black discmans.
This one I bought from Amazon way back in 2006 when it was being discontinued and was my last official purchase of a discman.
Previously I used to physically buy from "The Wiz" store in NYC.
I found a thrift store at my area and shop for CD and discmans in good condition.

Thanks.  When I was researching, I was considering the D-ne10.

What do you think is better about the D-ne series vs. D-EJ series by Sony?

Does anybody think it's strange that you can't buy a hi-fi new portable CD player?
I can understand why you can't in most parts of the world but in Japan the #1 selling music source is still CDs, they buy over 80% of the world's supply of CDs now.  And with Japan's obsession with hi-fi why don't any of the niche manufactures make CD players?

This is fairly common knowledge in the music industry.
You know one of the largest retail stores in Shibuya (which is the biggest shopping district of all of Japan within Tokyo) is a Tower Records?
Keep in mind that Tower went out of business outside of Japan two years ago.
