Well actually I didn't see any pot in the pics, how do you know is not an stepped attenuator? Anyway.....maybe the pot only works on the digital part and with the input digital signal, and not with any audio analog signal....who knows????

I'm still recovering from all the listening but the synergy about this amp with the AT cans is simply amazing.

With the Digital Eq and impedance switching you will be able to match any type headphones.

Will post some impressions soon

Man, that's a beautiful amp. Too bad it costs over $2,000. ^_^

I'll be quite interested to see your impressions.

Just one quick comment from a fellow head-fier at the mini meet bout the L3000 combo -

"Sounded "not neutral" but very "natural", just like listening to a good pair of speakers, you can listen to it for hours without fatigue and very enjoyable. The sound is unlike any other headphones auditioned before."

Outstanding photos, Sam - love seeing that hardware undressed.

This thing ONLY has digital inputs, right? Therefore could NOT be used with analog (phono, tape, etc) source, unless there was an ADC in front of it - do I have that right? It DOES have analog out, though, correct?

Keep the impressions coming - I'm building up my resistance with the following mantra,

"MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000, MUST NOT BUY DHA3000"

Going pretty well, so far, but every 30 seconds or so, a little voice whispers, "resistance is futile" ... What is that?

Yes the amp only takes digital inputs - 1xCOAX and 2xOptical.
The DAC can take signals up to 96KHz. The Leatherhead & the DHA3000 is indeed a very musical combo and it actually works well with most of the other cans tested, even the Sennheisers + with the Eqs you can tailor the sound to match any type of headphones.
