Unfortunately, the CD release and the DVD-A release are for two different crowds. The DVD-A release is aimed at people who have very revealing systems and/or sit down and let the music soak in. They are more likely to hear the distortion and would not put up with it. The CD release is for the more mainstream crowd who might not hear the distortion due to them being more passive listeners or are on the go. I am just glad to have the choice, and since I am a very active listener, I very much appreciate the outstanding no-compromise sound quality of the DVD-As. It is great that PT care enough about their fans to give them the choice.
