Attention to all poker players, hold'em, omaha, and stud alike.

What the most amount of money you have won (or lost) in one sitting?

I've only played home games (still in high school) and so I've only won 60 dollars at one time

. Where are the big winners (or losers) out there?

Not that I promote gambling...

Do machines count? About five years ago, I got a royal flush and won about $70 off a quarter bet.

Probably should have bet more, but I only gamble small amounts. I can blow through $20 at a casino, but that's about it. I pocket winnings, but usually spend them on food and drink at the casino.

I have won and lost thousands of pounds at online poker. Became a bit of an addict. Didnt know when to stop after big wins and ultimately lost anything i won and a lot more.

Iv won £2000 in one hand before, but also lost the same amount. Needless to say i try to stay away from playing online as i cant really control my spending. Enjoy just playing for £5 a head with friends now. I would say out of the six or eight of us that play i win 50% of the time.

I played 2-4 and 3-6 limit in vegas so i didn't lose/win much.. overall I think I lost about $150 and the most I was up $40... In house games with friends, the most I've every walked away with is $60bux..

the first and last time? no hold texas whatever-um at Caesar's in Las Vegas. honestly, I STILL don't know the rules. i plopped a hundred down next to my 2 pals, and within the first 10 minutes i drove everyone off the table except them and 2 sharks - apparently i make the game no fun because no one could read me, my moves were way too noob. i actually took 200 from a guy because he thought i was bluffing - uh, i'm too ignorant to bluff, that's really a full house, sorry! well at the end of the day my friends know me pretty well so they stuck it out until they had hands to clean me out - and so they did. an hour later i was out my 100 buck seed money, they took all my winnings that i took from the other guys at the table, and we went to go see Danny Ganz so i wasn't too unhappy.

during this whole time 1911 was crapping out some bad sushi on an MGM Grand toilet. what happens in Vegas, stays in the Vegas sewer system.

i know it isn't legal but i won a good $80 off of some friends at a party once. lost it all to some pretty angry parents though! i cannot wait until i am actually old enough to legally gamble, hold'em is a blast and i think i'm pretty sharp.

actually i have no idea if it's illegal or not, but i'm guessing yes. it was in Missouri and i was 13. i'll check up the Missouri gambling laws online. Missouri has some pretty strict gambling laws i think; casinos really get taken to the grinder by the legislature.

Where I live, Texas, home games are legal. We never go above a 10 dollar buy-in though, so no one gets too mad when they lose. even a 2-outer on the river for winning 40 dollars...
