Lucky, you.
Me and the other still stuck with green colour no matter file formats or platform we use to play a music.
Plugged into ipad, play hi-res apple music, and it still freaking green.
I have the same experience. No matter what I try, I just can't get any other color of the status LED than green. I've tried different hi-res players, mac and pc, streaming and local flac files, all come out with a green led light. I wish iFi was more specific on how you can get the best out of this tool and a mobile app where we can adjust different settings of it.

I am so sorry to hear that guys.

It really turns yellow I will post a picture as soon as I can.

Maybe is the firmware version. It does it immediately to me.

The ibasso pro 03 does not change colour when I play hires files because does not have a colour for hires files which I find quite annoying. It has only another colour for DSD files which I mean I do not find very helpful.

Try please AC/DC (some of the live albums) in apple music through iPhone with WiFi and hi res lossless enabled to see if there is a change.

No issues for me using iPhone and Tidal or Neutron Player: green up to 96KHz / light green for >=192Khz light blue for DSD and Magenta for MQA.

I am considering this for use with IE200 IEM. Any thoughts on it vs. the headphone out on an iPad Mini 4 or the Apple dongle?

Edit: Also is there a link to the firmware update procedure?

It's got more power than the Apple dongle, that was apparent straight away! With the CA Mammoth I use, I also experienced a soundstage that was less...squished together. It felt like ther was more width, height and depth for sounds to spread out. I realise that's subjective though and it's not a straightforward comparison to the IE200.

To get the firmware and drivers (firmware updates can only be done on Windows as of now) go to ifi's download hub and enter the serial number of your Go Link. That will give you access to the downloads in .zip format including instructions for use. Install the USB drivers first(!) then run the firmware update tool :)

I received mine a couple days ago. No problems with updating the firmware and the LED seems to reflect the various formats properly. I am using this to hopefully better the headphone out on an older iPad Mini 4 using my IE200.

Some very initial thoughts:

-Treble is a little bit rolled off giving a warmer sound. I gather this is good or bad dependent on your IEM.

-It would be great to be able to turn off the LED. It's bright, I assume wastes battery and will attract attention in public.

-It seems to do better with different streaming sources. Apple music sounds the best and then Tidal and Spotify. I'm not sure how I feel about MQA through this, it sounds somewhat diffuse.

-It seems to sound better via the USB C out on my iPad Mini 6 as compared to the Lightning out on the iPad Mini 4.

Considering the price I am pretty impressed. I wonder if we will see some increased competition in the dongle world because of this unit.

-Better soundstage and separation than the iPad.

-Better resolution and timbre of midrange and vocals.

-Better low end punch and control.

-I feel I am at the limit of what the IE200 can provide with this DAC. I may try a planar IEM next.

Considering the price I am pretty impressed. I wonder if we will see some increased competition in the dongle world because of this unit.
Thanks so much for your thoughts on this, we appreciate the feedback!

Cheers!!

Does anyone else find that the Go Link sounds considerably better from a USB-C source as opposed to Lightning? I've tried it via Lightning on an iPad Mini 4 and via USB-C on an iPad Mini 6 and even the volume will go higher with USB-C.

With what cable you use the lighting? Only with the adapter included?
Right, only with the included adapter. Is there a better sounding alternative?

According to my theory yes.

Is not very Practical though. I believe that ios with Lightning devices sound better with the original apple usb 3.0 adapter as I have shown in some photos above. Also the apple original USB 3.0 sounds better than the apple original USB 2.0 adapter unfortunately since the latter is much more convenient. All software and device depended but for me when always use the apple adapter I like it better.

Also Iphone has some power provided limitation this might be overcame with the apple 3.0 adapter because you can simultaneously charge. All in a very inconvenient set up of course.

Having said all that I am using my android phones even being user of Apple music.
