hi guys i will really appreciate for advice. i had JVC ha s400 which is broken now and i need a new headphone.
upon reading headfi i found that jvc ha s500 is a good headphone.
do you guys think s500 or ath ws55 will be an upgrade over jvc s400?i dont want to buy another jvc ha s400.

i dont want KOSS or GRADO headphone either.
please recommend any other company like sony, panasonic, beyerdynamic, sennheiser or any other company.
i am looking for only on ear headphones. thanks alot... budget only $70

These Onkyo headphones on sale are a great bargain at $55 shipped: http://www.woot.com/plus/onkyo-on-ear-control-talk-headphones?

This review covers the models without the iPhone cable (so same sound): http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/delightful-onkyo-es-fc300-and-es-hf300

If you are in US look for deals on martin logan mikros90. If in uk or scandinavia exibel mhx10. If youre in none of the mentioned I dunno...maybe that superlux on ear model hd562 or what was it. One that looks like sennheiser on ears.

If you can buy an Onkyo ES-CTI300 for $50, the OP HAS to do it at a heart beat. I know I love mine better than Senn HD25-1I and better than Momentum over-ears 1G.

+1

I think it easily competes with other on ear headphones in the ~ $150 range, and much better than the JVC S400 or S500, to my ears.

Fair enough, I was just curious
i have portapro, ksc75, dj100, had grado sr60 and they are too open. they sound good but construction quality is what i dont like on these sets

Fair enough, I was just curious and wondered if it was how they sounded or build.  Apparently the latter.  Good luck!

If you haven't decided yet. The Sennheiser Amperior is being blown out now for under $100. Smartphone compatible, and is now one of my #1 choices (I have 2 depending on the situation). Awesome deal for under $100!
