I now have K701 but no amp and interesting in getting a D7000 or W5000, or maybe both.

I have tried W5000+HA5000 and I loved it. I also tried D7000 but without WA2 so I want to know what will I gain and loss if I were to get a D7000+WA2 instead of W5000+HA5000

The D7000s and W5000s have pretty different sound signatures regardless of the amp used. I doubt that trying the Denons with the WA2 would somehow alter them quite so much to make much of a difference. If you like forward mids & highs with minimal bass, go with the W5000s. If you like a bassier presentation with full body and weight, the D7000s would be your choice.
 
I suspect you might have a hard time finding a member who has heard the exact combination you are looking for.
