Which is why I have black one....actually, it was the only color available at the sale price.

Glad to hear you like the JVCs. Just let them break-in and they will sound even better.

And surprised mainly far better that in-ear Senn CX300...

Need you put the volume near of max in Aiwa and Sony PCDPs with de JVC marshmallows?

About the same volume, or maybe a little bit lower. Probably due to better isolation.

Well 5 years later and I'm reviving a dead thread. I just wanted to say that I just got this cd player a few months ago from my gf (tired of iPods and mp3 players at this point - I've always been a simple pcdp kinda person). Anyway I have to say that, paired with my HD25s, this little pcdp sounds way better than a lot of ipod and mp3 players I've tried. As good as some iPods paired with amps IMO. I've been using this rig since yesterday and heard a dramatic difference between my 5G iPod Video and the Aiwa. So much so that I sold the iPod. 
 
Anyone else still gravitate to their PCDPs?
