man..what a imbecile..i would be pissed if my flight was diverted and the stress of an emergency landing without knowing what was going on..and then to find out it was because a lady was embarassed of her farts...the punishment should fit the crime....all 200 passengers should pass by her while she is hogtied to a chair and fart in her face for all the trouble she caused...ok..back to maturity

She must have been very self conscious but unfortunately, being too self conscious made everyone aware of her and now the whole world.

I think she should stand up and face the dilemma and not live in denial, maybe apologize on the Barbara Walters show and discuss it as a way to heal and on the path of recovering from the incident. Perhaps, she could write a book on it called "It was me".

"Flatulance On A Plane" starring Samuel L. Jackson.

"...there I was, mindin' my own business, and all of a sudden, there's a muth-f-in' flatulance on the plane! What the F is THAT about, this mutha-f-in faltulance smells like s**t...."

It amazes me the stupidity of people sometimes....I think this woman SHOULD have her name released. The fallout would be ample punishment, multiple times over.

People light a match to cover up flatulence? Never heard of that one before...how's that work? Why a match of all things?

People think the match burns up the gases, but Mythbusters proved that to be a myth:

What happens though is that the burning charcoal covers up the smell of Methyl mercaptan a bit. But it doesn't actually consume any of the gases.
