Does anyone have both-and if so could you make a side by side comparison?
While I realize that Nuforce is twice the price of the PL-30's,I'd certainly be willing to spend that if its is fact double the quality. Thanks

I own PL30, NE-7M and also NE8.

Comparing PL30 and NE-7M, to my ears, the NE-7Ms are better than PL30 in every aspects. Bass is fuller, better quality and more quantity but still balance. Mids are forward, and soundstage is wider.

I'm not sure if they're double quality, but IMO, it worth extra $30 you spend on NE-7M.

The NE-7M are more balanced as in the NE-7M has significantly more bass.
Both have around the same soundstage and the RE2 may seem to have a very slight edge on treble detail. The RE2's with the default large biflange tips are more comfortable but this sacrifices isolation.
That said, the NE-7M is a better all round buy.

My little bro tested both the NE-7M and the RE2 with Fiio E5 amp on bass mdoe and he preferred the NE-7M's.

Aside from the PL11s being silver colored and the NE-7Ms being copper colored the housings look identical. The specs are pretty close too. Quite different cables though.
