I don't know about Triple.fi, but when I had my Shure SE530s I thought that they sounded better than unamped PK1 - more dynamic and musical. When amped, however, the PK1 is definitely really close if not better than the Shures.

The PK1's are not bass heavy, but they have some excellent quality bass...tight and impactful.
