Does U-05 have enough power for HE-6?

No it’s not very powerful. Even with my Audeze LCD2-C it’s not really enough!

I have a playback device that I want to use as a source for my music but it's USB C only, would my Pioneer U-05 still be able to recognise and play music from it? I'm thinking of getting a USB B to C cable for this purpose.

Just try… the Pioneer needs a driver to recognize many USB devices, at least for DSD…

Did you find LCD2C sound better with the balanced cable?

Personally I've not found any difference in sound between pioneer and zen can which is much beefier on paper. But I've had the Pioneer for ages now and never tried the balanced outputs. LCD2C runs loud AF on the 6.3mm but I've read the balanced supposedly do sound better.

Still here... sometimes! Yes it's better. with a balanced cable, more power and more "energy", especially with classical music...
