So I've been looking for a vintage pair of headphones for a minute, and I just found a pair of these on Ebay. I'm digging them because they cool as **** and they're apparently rare. But!!! I don't really know anything about this 'piezoelectric' deal.... does anyone have any experience with these types phones? I looked up 'piezo drivers' and it still means nothing to me. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

Simon

Apparently they're moderately rare, as Pioneer was only one of two companies that have made them. Not many impressions on their sound have been shared, but they're typically only valuable for their uniqueness (not necessarily valued for sound).

Not very much in the way of bass on these unless you have a crazy amp, even then. They made a 300, 500, and 700 model.

a thread on a rebuild of the SE-700 plus related impressions and information, apparently the 700 has the most bass out of the 3 models.
