pictures sent by pm end posted publicly under the profile's default gallery
 
that wasn't the case before, i used to sent invoices and bills scans by pm, but figured pictures started to by available publicly
 
was it done on purpose for transparency, or not?

Only you can see those pictures. We tested this and other people can't see them. If you believe you've posted a picture that was ONLY put in a PM (not added to a gallery first) feel free to PM the link to the picture page and I'll test it.

ok i did the following
 
1. sent myself a pm with a photo, then sent to others by clicking on their profile's "Send Private Message" button, then by composing a new pm and entering a username manually, in this cases it doesn't show up at all other than in the pm
 
however
 
2. if sending a pm by the mean of clicking the button in the classifieds "Send a Private Message", or replying to such pm that started from the classifieds pm link, any photo uploaded in those pm will immediately show under the profile of the sender under "default" photo album, and is public, i checked in separate sessions
 
and it's exactly where most of the invoices, bills, screenshots will be uploaded, because of the nature of the topic started from classifieds
 
all the images under my profile's default album where uploaded only in such pm (between me roskodan and songmic)

UPDATE:
 
i sent a pm to http://www.head-fi.org/u/119700/thogthod using the button "Send a Private Message" in his classified http://www.head-fi.org/t/700732/audeze-lcd-2-rev-2-rosewood-mint-like-new-travel-case
 
1. the image uploaded in the first pm, the one started from the classified didn't show up publicly
 
2.  the image i uploaded in the next follow up pm in reply to the firs pm, that did show up publicly, under my profile's default album

another thing i noted is that the first pm sent from the classifieds, does not embed automatically in the pm a link to the classified of origin, as was the case before
 
not a big deal but it was handy to have a quick link reference
