Some very nice turntables on this thread!!

Just rebuilding my old turntable its a Dunlop Systemdek III fitted with a Fidelity Reasearch FR64s tonearm.(Been in storage for 12 years) I've been looking for a new cartridge SPU's & shelter 501 are out of my budget atm so i think i've settled for a Denon DL-103.

Could any Denon DL-103 users past & present recommend an entry level phono stage/step up transformers?

Auditorium 23 A23 step up transformer i like the look of but again out of my budget atm!

Does anyone have any experiance of the Denon AU300LC?

I go for more of the industrial look. Back up cartridge at this time, (Dynavector XX2 MKII) due to the fact that i am an idiot. Still a very good cartridge. VPI SDS, and Simaudio LP5.3 & PSX5.3 power supply for phonostage. I am using a pr. of Audioquest Skys for phono cable.

Up until recently i had been using the Te kaitora Rua. But dropped it when i forgot i didnt have it up. now its dead. Was going to send it to re-tip but think i can trade it in towards a the new upgradeed XV-1s when they hit. Dynavector is doing a little show at my local shop in march so I guess i'll wait until then.

Thanks Mike, and I'm absolutely loving it, as I'm sure you are your gorgeous new spinner!

The K1000 has me even more passionate about vinyl.

CrazyRay, I must admit, for no real audio reasons, but instead for incredible nerd reasons, I want, right now, all of that old equipment in your setup, particularly the FM Tuner and that Tape thing. My Dad used to have an old metal-faced AM/FM tuner like that but I believe it died, or perhaps something just came loose, twas a shame cause from the outsides, was perfect condition, but I just love the looks!

On topic: No vinyl set-up yet.

Thanks Joshmotron!
The vintage Pioneer system is being used for my headphone only setup.
I am using it in conjunction with a Woo Audio WA6SE. It should arrive this weekend.
Here are a couple more shots.
I don't want to hijack this thread, so I'll throw in another turntable shot.

Brought down the Sondek in the main rig over the Holidays. It was a great fun!

I couldn't give it a proper support for the Sondek, but it sounded great.
Currently, I've been using a Phonosophie No.3/ARO in my office for a change.

Since I use a small standmounts, there isn't much bass information I get off a full range speakers, but it's just as tuneful and addictive.

This was a DIY pseudo Aries, made before the Scout's were available. I needed something that had a smaller footprint. 1" Corian plinth and a Moerch DP-6 arm, the rest are VPI parts. Sometimes I think this might have helped push Harry toward the smaller sized original Scout design.
