Thanks! That gives me the best idea of how big the Rio Karma is out of any pics I've seen since I have the PX200s sitting right next to me

Inteeresting idea.

Kinda reminds me of seeing prerecorded MiniDiscs at a local electronic chain.

Yup. That's the link I was gonna post. The format sounded better than minidiscs, virtually indistinguishable from the source, to my ears and to the reviewers of the time...

At least they had a door on it to protect the tape. My one gripe with CDs, they need more protection.

Agreed. Cds could definitely use more protection (or less clumsy handlers). I'm so anal about such things, all my cds still look like new, and I got into 'em back in 1985.

I use my at home, at work and in the car. I may get in the habit of just making CD-R copies of them from now. Beats replacing them

here's a link to some pictures of the various decks that were made:

I personally own 4 decks. The Panny portable in my post, and a Technics RS-DC10, and 2 Optimus DCT-2000s. A Philips portable is also hopefully in the works for me!

Me too. The only time I ever took "originals" out of the house was when I put one in the portable player, and didn't remove it till I got back in the house. I'm weird about things like that.

Are you referring to the one with the amp? In that case, yes, as scottder said right, that's a sony D25s. It's ideal because I don't have space in my room, and having such a compact rig really helps. I can't imagine having a full size rig as yet, but it's nice to dream about

The one with the Grados is the D777.

Edit: Oh and here is a review with good info on the D25s!
