Nice Setup!

Following question isn't meant to provocate:

Is it really worth, adding a +-1000$ Setup (estimate for the Emmeli and Ibasso D1) to a 200$ Headphone?
I have the Sennheiser HD 25 myself and I'm perfectly happy with it through Ipod Classics' HP-Out. I wonder if it wouldn't be better to spend that much money for a better Headphone (of which i'm sure there are many) than for 1000$ source-pimping?

After having a nice headphone......still you will hunt for a good amp and source.

Of course, but with a Sennheiser HD 25 you surely haven't reached the absolute highend and every change of headphone makes a great difference compared to source change - my opinion.

i'd still like to hear the answer of NoRi

Darn impressive. I see that you use gold wire in your DIY mini. Can you maybe give some insight onto how it compares with the silver and copper you have up on top? I always thought gold was an odd choice given its conductance properties.

What are your thoughts on if there is possibly a difference?

1000 dollars paid for SR-71 and iBasoo D1 are certainly expensive.
I also had the selection that bought a headphone that was better than HD25-1. It was not necessarily a headphone suitable for my favor though I owned a headphone that was more expensive than HD25-1.

Therefore, to listen to HD25-1 suitable for my favor because of a better sound, I spent money on the headphone amplifier.

I also think that what basman means is adequate.

Thanks,

Sweet.

Jabada,

I had seen the E500s that Suyama had made into custom IEMs. Did you go to Japan or did you send him your ER4Ss and ear molds? How much did it cost, if you don't mind I've considered this...just not sure how much it'll cost?

Thanks.
