Pictures of Your Portable Rig Part VII

I dunno if you need an amp to make it a personal rig, but I find outputs on my old sony HD5 and the new LG KE850 (Prada) rather sufficient. Admittedly the LG has a slight edge over the Sony Hd5's renouned sound, when paired up with the UE 5 Pros.

What do you think?

Here is my excellent sounding Cowon IAudio U3 mp3 player with Sennheiser PX100 Headphones in a Pelican 1040 Microcase:

I will be upgrading my PX100 with the Audio Technica ATH-CK7 or the Westone 3...depending upon if the Westone 3 reviews are positive.

very compact, i love how the supermicro fits exactly on top of the battery pack. i get >20 hours with this setup, plus the pack uses AAs so i can swap fresh ones in indefinitely (got to love those eneloops!)

i bought that during one of my trips at dubai airport duty free..

i think you can find it online, brand is logic3, a UK company. it works using rechargeables too

i did have to make the hole at the bottom of the case bigger to fit the dock. not too hard, used one of my angled cutters that i use for clipping component leads.

There's even more than that, but the Logic3 complements the SuperMicro and iMod so well!

First of all consider that I use my portable rig outside my house ONLY when I'm on vacation, so the size is OK for me, Everything fits nicely into HD650's box, which I slip into a suitcase and I'm all set

I think I'm done with my portable setup now.
80 GB 5.5 gen Ipod video loaded with lossless, ALO Jumbo Silver V2 dock, Hornet M, HD650s, Grado adapter cable and Aluminum hard case for the ipod + belkin screen and clickwheel film protector.

Awesome battery life and awesome sound.

you have supermacro on your sig, so does that mean you've put in an order for a supermicro too? alright! thats the head-fi spirit!

btw, the ALO IC i have there is 7 inches tip to tip, switchcraft plugs. the neutrik ones will stick out on top and side and wont be flush against the imod/micro. i used a hair dryer to heat it before bending it to the desired shape. holds very after cooling.
